Yes way Just get your head out your ass 😂 You know it's compacted so uncompact the spot you want to grow shit. If it needs nitrogen add nitrogen If it needs methane add it Or you just lazy Or stupid 😂 If you know why something don't work Add the ingredients to make it work
For compaction like this we typically do core aeration!
Chickens, mulch & compost would turn that around pretty quick

If anyone was wondering, that is a Static Cone Penetrometer (SCP). We use those for things like foundation subgrades and huge crane pads. 200psi in your yard. Is INSANE. That's like rock.

Just get a dog or make your house a bus stop and you should have compaction in no time!
don't break that up, that level of compaction is from the builder securing the ground around the building, you risk washouts. put a few inches of loam on top, feather it out to the existing lawn and seed it

I use animal grade corn meal. You don't need chemicals. That lawn is toxic and void of microbes and carbon.

I live in Pennsylvania every grass seed sucks that I use. I tried alot of different things. To bad this grass doesn't do well up in my area

Use a Ortho dial hose end sprayer & Bifethrin.

Use a Grass Verticutter to break up the top layer of soil, then use an Aerator on it, with multiple overlapping rows. (LEAVE THE SOIL PLUGS ON THE TOP/DO NOT REMOVE THEM)

Topsoil! Once you start growing grass, the roots will break right through allowing water and nutrient to penetrate. Just did it on my yard
As long as you till up the soil beforehand to release some of that compaction
@@EliteLawnCareOklahomaCity I used a garden rake to rake the seed in, that seemed to work after the 2 inches of top. I can dig down by hand now, just put a 6× in the same area last week. I planted this early spring though and we get pretty.... Moist lol

We used Cal-sul on our veg farm. Incredible friablity. Also buckwheat covercrops and when water costs became too expensive we injected molasses (this was in Hawaii) with basically probiotics and other Sargasso Sea additives. It didn’t matter. in the end- virus infected thrips wiped out everything. Don’t wait- Jesus Christ came saying Repent or Perish! Praise His Name! HalleluYah!

Add some water and it won't be 200 psi anymore.
Adding water alone won't effectively get rid of soil compaction. To properly address soil compaction, techniques like core aeration, top dressing, and ensuring proper drainage are much more effective.

I just saw a Decompaction machine on here the other day. Are those hecoming more popular? What would the indications be for use with this type of soil?
Core Aeration machines have been around for a while! Some common indicators that you need core aeration would be hard soil surface, thinning grass, poor water infiltration etc.
